Possibilities of using circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) as non-invasive biomarkers. The most convenient biological fluids for detecting changes in the expression of circulating miRNAs in non-traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) are blood (whole blood or plasma/serum) and cerebrospinal fluids (CSF). Detection in CSF is especially promising in patients with complicated ICH such as ICH with penetration into the brain lateral ventricles.
