Fig. 2

Types of vector delivery systems for microRNAs (miRNAs) agents for potential therapy in non-traumatic intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) models in vitro and in vivo. There are viral and non-viral miRNA delivery systems. The achieved level of last research makes it possible to create vector systems that target different types of cells of the central nervous system (CNS) (e.g. adenoviral vectors can infect neurons, astrocytes, oligodendroglia, ependymocytes, choroidal epithelium, and microglia in vivo) and direct miRNAs directly to the target. Note: pre-miRNA, precursor microRNA; RISC, RNA-induced silencing complex; mRNA, messenger RNA; DOTAP, 1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium-propane; DOTMA, 1,2-di-O-octadecenyl-3-trimethylammonium propane; DOSPA, polycationic lipid 2,3-dioleyloxy-N-[2(sperminecarboxamido)ethyl]-N,N-dimethyl-1-propanaminium trifluoroacetate; DMRIE, N-( 1 ,2-dimyristyloxyprop-3-yl)-N,N-dimethyl-N- hydroxyethyl ammonium bromide
