Cervicovaginal protein levels associates with the disease groups and menopausal status. A heatmap reflects relative levels of proteins in cervicovaginal lavages (CVL) across all the samples (n = 192) (A). Data were mean-centered and variance scaled along each row before clustering. A hierarchical clustering was based on Euclidean distance and Ward linkage. The analysis revealed two distinct clusters. Pie charts show distribution of the disease groups (B), menopausal status (C) and BMI categories (D) were significantly different between the clusters. BMI categories did not vary between the clusters. P values were calculated using Fisher’s exact test or chi square test
